This website shares writing and imagery about interior architecture and design. It runs on WordPress and is delivered through standard hosting and a caching/CDN layer. This policy explains what is collected when you visit, why it is used, who may receive it, and the choices you have.
What we collect and how it reaches us
When you browse the site, our hosting platform and CDN automatically receive routine technical information needed to serve pages. If you choose to post a comment, WordPress will collect the details you submit. If you email us, we will receive the contents of your message and related metadata.
- Server and CDN logs. These typically include your IP address, browser and device information, the page requested, referring page, and the time of the request. They are used to operate the site, keep it secure, measure uptime, and diagnose issues.
- Comments. If you submit a comment on a post, WordPress will collect the data shown in the comment form along with your IP address and browser user agent to help with spam detection and moderation. If the feature is offered by your browser, you can choose to store your name, email, and site in a cookie so you do not have to re-enter them next time.
- Email. If you write to any published @allianoi.org address, we will receive your message, email address, and any information you include. Our email service provider will process that correspondence to deliver it to us.
Cookies and similar storage
This site uses a small number of technical cookies.
- Administrator session cookies. WordPress sets session cookies for logged-in administrators to manage the site. These are not used for visitor tracking.
- Commenter convenience cookie. If you leave a comment and opt to save your details, WordPress will place a cookie in your browser so your information is prefilled the next time you comment.
- CDN/hosting cookies. The caching/CDN layer may set cookies required for performance and reliable delivery of pages. We do not use advertising, affiliate, or analytics cookies.
How we use information and who sees it
We use the information described above to run a fast, reliable, and safe website; to publish and moderate comments; and to respond to correspondence. Access is limited to the site administrator and trusted service providers that enable hosting, content delivery, and email routing. Those providers may process data on our behalf only to provide their services and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.

You can browse the site without creating an account or providing personal details. If you leave a comment, you may request that we remove it. If you have written to us, you may request a copy of your correspondence or ask us to delete it unless we need to keep a record for legitimate reasons.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We will honor applicable requests and explain any limits that apply.
Children’s information
This site is aimed at an adult audience interested in design. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information here, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our hosting and email infrastructure may be located in, or route traffic through, countries other than your own. When information is transferred, we rely on standard safeguards appropriate to the service to protect it.
